Spring Update

Happy Spring everyone.  I have been terrible about getting our gigs posted here and I apologize for that! We’ve been having so much fun, and I am finding Facebook a great place to post our gigs, but I will try to keep the website updated.

We had a great turn out for our Caffe Mela event on Saint Patty’s Day and I want to thank Matthew Terry for joining us during our set to sing his original composition, “When He Came Back.”

ASC played for the Musterd Seed fundraiser on March 21st and we were very impressed with the event.

Our “String Fashion Show” at the Friday Night Out concert series at Grace Lutheran was a big hit. Rebekah Gilmore from Seattle joined us with her amazing vocal talent, and I even pulled out the Bodhran for a number.  We had a blast and the audience was wonderful!!

On April 25th from 2-4pm, ASC will be playing for The Riverwalk Inn Open House in beautiful Lake Chelan. Be sure to join us for some great music, wonderful organic foods prepared by the Healthy Gourmet, and sample some lavender iced tea!

On May 17th, you’ll find All Strings Considered playing at the 1st Presbytarian Church on Miller in Wenatchee.  This event is a fundraiser to help raise money for the Continental Ministries. I am going on tour with this ministry this summer, and this Caberet event will feature many fine musicians from Wenatchee. There will be a free will offering and the proceeds will go to the ministry to support The Continentals Alumi Tour which be traveling to Ireland and Great Britain.

Last but not least, ASC will be doing a Library Tour! Wenatchee, Omak, and Moses Lake libraries will be hosting us for the summer programs. Dates will be June 18th, July 30th, and August 13th.

And now..a word from one of our fans:

I was soooooooooooooooo glad I dragged myself to the concert!  I only heard the first half but was so impressed.  I think you guys have come a long, long way!  You were entertaining (the fashion show was cute and fun and really very imaginative.  You all were very professional but playful as well and I that really is your trademark.  You can be that way when you back it up with the wonderful ability that you all have.

Rebekah was a plus and it was obvious that you all worked well together – NO prima donnas’.    I wish I could have seen the whole thing.

I talked to Mac and asked him what he said, He said I loved it!!!  That is high praise from someone who tips the bars in the music world in talent as far as I am concerned.  He really like the quirky piece that you wrote Tanya!

Anyway, thought you would love to hear from another music critic!

Love to you all

PS the piece right before the first piece that Rebekah sang (I think) where the Harp and violin play in the beginning made me cry it was so emotionally beautiful.  I love all your instruments!

Thank you to all of you who attend our concerts and listen to our CD. Look for the next one to be released just before Christmas!
